District Award of Merit

You, our registered volunteers, are the lifeblood of the AuSable District.   The flyer for the District Dinner will soon be available.  However, before this year comes to an end, a very important task is at hand.  At the District Dinner, we will be recognizing 2 AuSable Scouters with the presentation of the District Award of Merit.

Recipients for 2004...

Please join me in congratulating our two distinguished Scouters who received the District Award of Merit at Saturday, February 5, 2005, night's annual AuSable District Leader Appreciation Dinner in West Branch.  Selected by their peers were Linda Hall and Dan Starks.  Both Linda and Dan have impressive records of service to both Scouting and also to their communities.  The District Award of Merit is the highest honor a District can award a volunteer.

The District Award of Merit is the highest award that a District can bestow upon a volunteer.  The award is available to AuSable Scouters who render service of an outstanding nature at the District level.  Our District can select 2 deserving individuals who must be nominated by YOU, the Scouters of AuSable.  Attached under qualifications listed below is the Nomination for the District Award of Merit form for your review.  Please take a moment and think of that someone special in Scouting, who goes the extra mile and meets the requirements listed on the form.  Your District Committee needs all nominations to be in by our December 14, 2005 Roundtable in order to make the presentation at the District Dinner on February 4th, 2006.

Please help that someone special get the recognition that they deserve.

Nomination forms are available at Roundtable, the Council Service Center, and via e-mail.  Please don't wait until December; nominate that special someone today!

Completed forms may be brought to Roundtable or mailed to L.H.A.C., P.O. Box 129, Auburn, MI 48611-0129.  Thank you all in advance!
